Future Day and Extended Visits

The Club arranges occasional visits to local places of interest, as well as longer breaks away in Britain and the Continent. There is usually a walk followed by a pub lunch every month during the warmer seasons. Full information about these activities can be found in the latest issue of the Newsletter, but the principal details of upcoming events are listed here. Further information can also be found on the Google Calendar of HELC Events. This is currently set as Agenda view, but you can change to Week or Month view; you can also print a list of events over any range of dates you choose. Public Holidays are shown in green text, all HELC items are a different colour. Click on an event to see full details, including a link to a map of the meeting point or venue.

Please note that all Application Forms in the Newsletter are restricted to HELC Members only.

6 March 2025 - Visit to Airbus, Stevenage

We will visit the Airbus Defence and Space site with its Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) workforce of over 300 highly qualified and skilled employees who operate in some of the best equipped and state-of-the art development, assembly, test and production facilities in the space industry.

Our visit would take some 2 hours. Further details are in the November HELC Newsletter.

After the visit we shall meet for lunch at the Cromwell Hotel, Old Stevenage, at 1.00pm. Pre-ordering will be necessary.

Car sharing is advised.

The visit is fully booked with 32 members/partners signed up, but contact Robert Addleman, visits@helc.org.uk, if you would like to be added to the reserve list.

Future Day Visits

Various other ideas for day visits are being explored. Please look out for more information in future Newsletters.

If you have enjoyed an interesting visit please give details to Robert Addleman,
visits@helc.org.uk so that other HELC members might also enjoy it. All ideas are welcome.  Better still, why not become part of a team to organise visits? Many hands make light work, and it can be very rewarding seeing the pleasure that these visits bring to members.
